CrossFit Athlete Chris Spealler: Stay At It!

Hey gang, almost at the end!

Congrats on the success so far and keep the end in sight.  Focus on what you have to do and not what you have already done.  Keep some small short term goals in mind even if it’s a day by day thing to keep you motivated and moving forward.  Write them down, hold one another and yourself accountable to them and it will totally be worth it in the end.

Regardless of the finish you don’t want to have to say “what if” when all is said and done.

Best of luck to all of you and stay at it!

Never Quit.

Never Quit.  It’s as simple as making the decision from the start that you won’t give up.  It doesn’t mean that things will go your way, or you want fall down, have a bad day, or slip up.  It means when that happens you still won’t quit and throw in the towel.

Two things that I have found very helpful when coming up against adversity or when I find myself wondering if I can complete a task.

1.  Never compare yourself to others, you will only be as good as they are.  You can use others to motivate you, but don’t settle for their best, settle for yours.

2.  When you’re done, you’re done.  There is nothing worse than knowing you could have done more in any given effort.

Even if we fail or fall short of our goals, if we do everything we possibly can we can’t be disappointed in ourselves.
